Me and My Make-Up

I wake up 6.00 am everyday.  Living in jog area, some joggers already started their jogging earlier than that. After my morning prayer, I normally look out from my bedroom window, feeling the morning air,  watching the sky lighted turning from grey to yellow, seeing patches of cloud and finally bright daylight. Those days I start to clean myself, bathed and dressed up to work. Make-up was always the thing I did in the car while heating up the engine. 10 or 15 minutes is a must with applying foundation, shading, highlighting, blushing, eye color, eyeliner, eyebrowing, mascara and lipstick. Now I still do it whenever I go out of home with lesser time taken. I don't do the defining part to impress or gain confidence because I am a retiree.

I am loyal to certain brand when it concerns makeup detailing. Mac for eye and lining my eyes and brows. The same brand for my blusher and shading or highlights. As for skin foundation I have to opt for non oily type. Otherwise I end up having shiny and oily day. The lower eyeliner smeared and the upper eyeline lost its blacky effect 2 hours after aplication. Even the mascara failed to hold the length of the lashes if I wear the wrong facial foundation.

Colleagues are of two types. Not many like me, full use and complete step by step from brushing on the foundation and brushing the lipstick. Oh yes I have a set of brushes that I use to apply, shape and light my face. Those days when I first started using, I only used fingers and sponges the loose powder and blusher. When they started to introduce brushes, I follow suit and good bye to finger or nails wiped session everytime when I finished painting.
